The Hello Future project team

The Hello Future Project team is made up of an enthusiastic bunch of business representatives. Led by West Sussex, Brighton & Hove Careers Hub (The Careers & Enterprise Company) and Brighton Chamber. Working collaboratively with American Express, Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, Shoreham Port and Brighton and Hove City Council with support from GetMyFirstJob and Graphite Digital. We’ve partnered with over 75 volunteers to support this unique event.

My role is at the heart of the local community to help schools and colleges improve their careers and enterprise activities and to engage with the world of work. I am passionate about motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes.

Rob Josephs

Schools Manager, Albion in the Community
My name is Rob Josephs and I am the Schools Manager for Albion in the Community (AITC). Albion in the Community (AITC) is the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. Before working for AITC, I spent 15 years working in Littlehampton as a PE Teacher, with additional roles such as Head of Year, Director of Enterprise and Director of Student Leadership and Enrichment. I have a passion for working with young people, helping them realise their potential and motivating them to aim high and reach their goals.

As corporate partnerships lead at Albion in the Community, I work closely with American Express to deliver our colleague volunteering programme as well as supporting other corporate partnerships held by the charity. I have worked in the charity sector for 15 years delivering corporate partnerships of various shapes and sizes.

Whilst I have a strong focus on delivery, I also believe in the strength of communication and relationship building. I’m passionate about ensuring young people know about opportunities available to them within the world of work and how to access them. I’m motivated to ensure this is something that, whichever business I am a part of, understands and supports, bringing and supporting new young people in the business – after all these are our leaders of the future!

David Allison

CEO & Co-Founder, GetMyFirstJob
A careers and advice platform used by millions of young people across the UK since its launch in 2014. Working with a wide range of organisations from schools to colleges and Universities as well as some of the UK’s largest employers, David brings a unique perspective to the careers challenges and opportunities facing young people in the current environment. David began his career with Ford Motor Company where he gained a degree in Engineering and an MBA. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Enterprise Adviser with Coast to Capital.

Apprenticeship & Pre-Employment Manager at Brighton & Hove City Council
I lead and manage the apprenticeship and pre-employment programmes for the council. I work closely with stakeholders and partners in the city to deliver a range of different events/programmes which provide young people with an insight into the world of work. Being informed of the many careers paths and opportunities available gives young people the confidence to make the decision that is right for them.

Hello. I have worked for over 25 years with profoundly deaf adults, children, and young adults within an educational setting. My current role is SENCO in a preschool and voluntary teach basic sign language within my local community. I grew up with my profoundly deaf Brother who also had Autism, learning difficulties/disabilities.
